University of the West of England, Bristol, UK

Attained a first class honours degree.

This was a sandwich degree which means I spent 1 year on placement.

1st year modules

  • Robotics

learning basic concepts about architectures and designs and use cases

  • Digital System Development

    assembler programming on Microchip Controllers

  • Digital Design and Instrumentation

using logic circuits instead of micro-controllers to solve problems

  • Artificial Intelligence

history and basic concepts of AI

  • Practical Electronics

learning and using components and working on several projects e.g.: amplifier (with speakers), torch with multiple functions

  • Programming in C

Developed the cutting mechanism for the university's underwater robot which took part in the SAUC-E competition which is a yearly autonomous underwater vehicle competition in Europe.

2nd year modules

  • Robotics

building a Micro-mouse, a robot that can navigate and solve mazes. This is a year long project and includes planning, researching, ordering, prototyping, testing and documenting the whole process and giving presentations on the ideas and progress.

  • Micro Controller Based Systems

    assembler programming on Microchip Controllers

  • Symbolic Artificial Intelligence

using logic circuits instead of micro-controllers to solve problems

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Machine Vision

object recognition, image understanding, inspection, quality control, using binary images, grayscale and 3d
